Just following on from my last post, after arriving in a booming Hervey Bay 5 years ago and not being able to find rental accom as all the tradies had booked the place out, we decided to buy a house boat and brought it up the coast to live on with the kids, good times, but after 3 years they started to grow and needed more space, Took 18 months to sell all the while property prices going up. At the time a younger brother in NZ was buying up investment properties, The housing market took a turn for the worst and now he's up to his eyeballs, sadly this is on the cards for many hardworking Aussies as their dream is going to become a long drawn out nightmare.
