I too have a warm feeling about Melbourne's growth. It is a rock-solid performer and has been so way back as far as Federation.
Having said that there is still the niggling feeling that we are looking at some serious gains in Sydney over the next few years and SE QLD in the next 10-12 years as many of the boomers seek warmer climes.
I don't pretend to know it all but I have my eyes on Caloundra over the next 10 years and I like Cammeray in Sydney over the next 5 years.
In Melbourne, as I said earlier, I like Elwood, St.Kilda and Port Melbourne. The hump factor was my attempt at joking but as a young bloke back in the 80's those areas seemed to be where I had "fun" more often than other areas.
