re: household debt is not the reserves fault. It is their fault along with government (mainly the governments). It was the latter's policies which drove up house prices which in turn accounts for the high debt to income ratio. Don't talk rubbish about personal responsibility. People need to buy, rent, live in houses and they have to pay whatever it costs. They don't have a choice.
