The actuarial calculations are also heavily influenced by APRA requirements which are very conservative in terms of risk assessment.
I couldn’t agree more with your assessment, the liability provisioning looks like it has been made more on a “financial catastrophe” basis which, based on the current market conditions, is not going to eventuate.
This bodes well for us & I have been merrily topping up at the $3.50 level - absolute bargain in my opinion, but DYOR
