I don't think one year makes a trend. Immigration has eased slightly in the last year but it is still about double the OECD average , and both parties are committed to the' big Australia'. Most of our population growth is still coming from immigration, not 'natural' growth, ie it is a deliberate policy. Most of the immigrants come to our already overcrowded cities.
