I don't believe that the government needs to tell me what I can and can't borrow.

Some people for instance might have the financial sense to manage a loan that someone with the same income may not.

Living in a free country allows us to make that decision ourselves.

If unsureof what one can really afford, the cost of professional help pales into insignificance as to the size of a loan.
