Geelong survived the Pyramid Building Society crash (c 1990)
and will rise yet again. I studied at Deakin Uni, Geelong from 1988 to 1990 and found it a great place to live. It had a real friendly tone about the place and great ammenities to boot. Nice beaches too.
One day I'd like to move there permanently with my family.
Don't write off the people of Geelong - they have a great fighting spirit.
