But imagine if immigration were cut from about 300 kpa to about 75 kpa or less. House prices and rents would soon plummet, and there would be huge infrastructure savings. All the workers displaced from the construction industry could then satisfy the huge demand from mining and the associated export infrastructure. The economic merits of this strategy cf high immigration need to be examined.
It's time to stop destroying this great country with mass immigration for the sake of profiting a few parasites.
