australia has to have higher taxes the big spending areas are the ports - roads etc and infustructure in outback and regional areas not being paid for by those areas taxes - though we make a lot from agricutlure and resources which makes up corparate revenues.
If we cut taxes more services will have to be privatised.
Back to housing affordability we need to make it more competitive ie retail/industrial property to overseas buyers and sellers - raise taxes from sales tax etc on property transactions
