''population growth outstripped the availability of caves. what a surprise.''

    correct - no surprise

human innovation caused an upset in the natural way of things

a disruption. And as time has gone on - we have disrupted more and more of the natural way of doing things and the world and planet.

presently - human innovation is massively disrupting - and ultra rapid.

What once took thousands of years to disrupt - now can take months - or even weeks.

I suggest that in the next decade - we'll see technological and societal disruption that can happen in days.

whatever we have - the dynamic of it will be - what IMO will be nothing short of chaos

entire major corporations will just cease to exist almost instantly and new ones will grow almost instantly

that's already been happening to a degree - but, the scale and speed will increase.

    Ask Kodak wtf happened?

They invented the digital camera - then, they didn't want to push it so as not to harm their film sales ----------- then others just ran over their face

their invention to death spiral - about 40 years really

today - that can be in months.

    soon, IMO ---------- days.
