Why all the tradies that left Sydney to chase the mining boom are flooding back as jobs dry up in WA & QLD. Despite being the most expensive, Sydney and Melbourne IMO will be the least likely to reverse course.
Almost every immigrant who comes here wants to settle in Sydney or Melbourne, construction including commercial, residential & government (roads, rail, airport) etc at a scale not seen in years. Talk of most of the 12,000 Syrian refugees coming settling in Fairfield due to the existing community base. Plenty of evidence to suggest rental prices & ultimately house prices will have plenty of fuel to sustain them.
Pop growth in Sydney is tipped to be 400k over the current term of government. Even with all the new dwellings being constructed that's not going to cause a supply glut.
