I know several people, of BB age now, who inherited multiple properties from their parents....well 3 with 6 properties each, another couple with 2....

these people never needed to invest in property, they knew their parents, the original PI's, would hand them down the properties...together with the family home

there is no borrowings against the props...they were paid off years ago....
of course the beneficiaries could borrow against them if they wanted to......
most have no need....all conservative types....

sure there will always be some gung ho trader types, who take on property, treat that asset like shares, and come undone...in the process....then the other usual reasons, people out of their depth, marriage break down, unemployment...

downramping is rife on this site...even more so with the property forum....

we could fill several thousand books with the rants from the 'house price crash brigade'....

but since housing has in fact increased, for yet another year...and year on year for the past 2 decades...
