Re: Sherlock Bay Update
On Friday the 28th November 2003, Central Kalgoorlie Gold Mines (“CKG”)
announced an updated measured resource for the Sherlock Bay Ni, Cu Project.
This resource was upgraded significantly from the previously announced
6,100,000 tonnes at 0.53% to 9,000,000 tonnes grading 0.53% Ni and 0.1%Cu.
CKG is currently conducting a bank feasibility study on this project, where the
Company intends to mine 2,000,000 tonnes of ore a year to produce 8,000
tonnes of Ni and 1,600 tonnes of Cu a year, with a current mine life of four and a
half years.
Resource drilling is continuing up until late December, and will restart early in the
new year, this drilling is expected to substantially increase the projected mine life.
To date, the Eastern ore shoot has a measured resource of 7,200,000 tonnes at
0.53% Ni while the Western shoot has a measured resource of 1,800,000 tonnes
at 0.5% Ni. Both the Eastern and Western shoots are still open along strike and
at depth.
Stripping ratios are expected to be minimal during the initial two years life of the
Project with both ore bodies being close to the surface. At the Western Shoot the
ore comes through to the surface, whilst the Eastern shoot has approximately 15
metres of cover.
The directors anticipate completion of the Sherlock Bay Project bankable
feasibility study within the next 10 weeks and have commenced discussions with
a number of parties concerning potential off take arrangements.

in which they say will increase the life of the mine..
