Unpopular but if they built houses like were built years ago a 10 sq home , no ensuite etc, 3 or 4 bedrooms, no family room, then it would be more affordable. Cabins in caravan parks, cost $100k or less , 2 bed room... build a heap of these, those on benefits get rent assist , and could afford to rent one .
But would probably be similar to trailer parks in US... but would take people off the streets?
