Hi all - need some help - our son lives in Sydney and wants to buy around Darlinghurst/Surrey Hills - looking at a 1 br or studio. As parents we will be helping out.
What do guys think about buying into this curent market+ area and are there mega pitfalls with body corporate's and fees etc...
Its looks a bit scary - but he needs some security of tenure with rents skyrocketing!

...trouble he is paying 400 per week now in Darlinghurst for a one bedder and looking at an increase too.
Around $20k per year will fund a loan at interest only at least to get some stability and some security of tenure...

Gross PA rental $24,000 [460 p/wk ]
