I always think to my self, “What % do you actually own of your property or properties? And how much do you owe the bank/s?”, whenever anyone says, I own a property or properties.
To me it seems the housing market is in a stand off. There are a lot of properties for sale. But it seems a lot of “owners” are not willing to drop their prices where the market will buy. Perhaps the buying market is hitting a price ceiling. Auctions that do no sell or even get a bid, reappear straight after with their truly desired price range. Often above the auction quoted price range. And then sit on market. The buyers are there, just not at the price they want.
