Yes had I know a $40k property would be now $600k I would hae brought more and would not sold ones I have over have.

Tell me would you not have done so too and benefited from what you call dumb luck?

As for your idea that "high house prices puts the economy in turmoil, killing all the jobs"

That is so wrong, with increase equity from increased property values people can access more credit spend and invest which adds to the growing economy.

Wipe out the value of property and you wipe out a big part of the economy
