That is the biggest load of rubbish i have read yet.

First of, yes dual income, but, a house takes 20 - 25 years on average to pay off. Most chicks get up the duff a couple of years in and the second income is lost, I see this all the time. I dont see many women waiting till they are 50 years old before starting a family.

The average house hold income for 06/07 was $42K not $100K where on earth do you get your facts from?

The borrowing power of a average houshold earning $42K is only $211K

The average size of current mortgages is $250K

So how on earth do you recon people can keep borrowing more and interest rate rises will not hurt them?
