Plenty of houses in the $500k range - just not in Sydney.
You can easily buy a 3 bedroom house outside of the crowded Sydney market, and it is a big country. With more WFH, and remote working companies out there, I can see a lot of people opting out of Sydney and finding a better lifestyle.
I know I wouldn't be happy in Sydney, but so many people are unhappy in Sydney but WILL NOT ever leave. Seems nuts to me.
