The reason you need more people to fill those jobs is because of more migration that expands the population and demand base in the first place. I think naturally if you reduce migration your demand base wouldn't be as high.
What happens when automation and AI starts to fill those jobs or reduce the need for them. We'll have to find ways to employ and feed and house this much bigger population right?
