There are plenty of risks. Most of the UCG trial burns that ever been conducted have failed for one reason or another from contamination of the groundwater to underground explosions wiping the sites off the face of the planet. This has everything to do with the characteristics of the site and less to do with the people running it. We may be seeing a UCG bubble. Get ready to bail.
