It's a farce isn't it. Short and distort. Today BHP is an absolute classic example - with the All Ords up and BHP way down.
A very simple solution for us short term is for ASIC or the ASLA to allow open access to a database of listed securities that have been lent, and to whom.
I'll hold my breath if you do, and meanwhile I'm off to look at the stable door...
