As always, IMO you have been very perceptive & spot on. However, as the saying goes; "The Market can be irrational for longer than we can remain solvent" so caution & patience are of the essence IMO.
With a PE for FY09 now about 8 it might cause a stir if Kloppers dropped the RIO bid & paid a special divi of about $5, or alternatively just bought back about 10% of BHP shares!
