during the bull period, our market rose more than the US, so it would be expected to fall more than the US. The banks in the UK were for months saying they were not caught up in the subprime debacle etc, now they are slowing coming out and telling the truth. Our banks from the start said they had no exposure to the subprime, now they are putting spin on why they are increasing bad debt provisions.
