Yes Matty, I believe you're right.
And OMS, i agree, shorting actual shares smells like a stale sack of turds.
The beauty of CFD trading is that you are very much a passenger and cannot really manipulate the share price with yours or any borrowed holding.
I must say though, I still wrestle with buying a contract in something because you think its going to go down. It really goes against my nature.
Having said that, all's fair in love and business and I believe banks have enjoyed a little too much euphoria of late. They're share prices are over inflated and I am expecting a pretty sharp retrace.
Just my opinion of course.
