US, allies failed to stop Yemeni attacks: Axios on US intelligence

According to updated US intelligence assessments, container shipping through the Red Sea has plummeted by approximately 90% since mid-February, disrupting 10-15% of global maritime trade.

Alternative routes around Africa add 11,000 nautical miles and require up to two weeks of travel time and $1 million in fuel on average.
    .
The report notes that the US Navy has spent $1 billion on ammunition to counter ballistic missiles, cruise missiles targeting ships, and explosive drones in the region.

mmm so how many ships made the alternative route , with the extra cost of $1m extra fuel??

6 Jan 2023The Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), Osama Rabie, said a total of 23,583 ships transited the international waterway in 2022, a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 15%.

watso has zero idea about anything .. but for arguments sake ... how about a guess of 12,000 ships .. ie 1,000 ships per month, or 33 ships per day .. so about an extra cost of $1bn per month, as well as extra insurance etc etc etc ..

wow .. these houthis sure are affecting things ..

    HOUTHIS JUSTIFY HERO STATUS ..

If ronald reagan was still alive - he surely would have dedicated a space mission to these freedom fighters ..

just asking for a friend .. but any relevant update on operation guardian prosperity ???
