went round to someones house the other day to quote on building a granny flat, the people payed a deposit on one, about $9000, company went broke, its dragged on for 6 months and gone to liquidation, no money left for them to get anything back or be able to pay the rest and get what they wanted. so after 6 months and $9000, they are back where they started.
