The Maersk Alabama incident may turn out to be just what is needed to draw world attention to the fact that the fishermen of Puntland have been ripped off for decades by the fishing fleets of those who now have navies rounding up so called pirates. Somalia and Puntland in particular will attain changed economic status if the oil can become reality. As one of the worlds busiest seaways , this coast can only benefit from such an incident in a part of the planet that no one gave a damn about until the G20's movement of goods became effected. Maybe the warships can keep out the marauding fishing fleets and switch the locals from bucaneering to employment in the infrastructure needed to get the oil moving.
