    Hi bs11,

I am in a similar boat. When i purchased SIP i thought to myself that i was finally getting out of risky stocks that i originally invested in and wanted to invest in some of the ASX200's.... Boy did we choose the wrong stock :p, but that is just bad luck concerning what happened afterwards was completely out of our control... But i understand how that cannot be comforting because either way, our fault or the company not being fair, we are still in a position where we are loosing money. Doh!

But there is some good side to SIP still..... I was having a look at SIP's Market Capital and i did not realize that it was only around 500 million! This is insanely low considering we are very likely to receive 900 million just in cash meaning that our liquid assets are going to be twice as much as our market cap. This is not taking into consideration the rest of SIP's operations after the sale to Aspen. So i think that if people catch once the sale is processed that i cannot see why the SP would not go to near $1. Even at $1, realistically and theoretically the company is undervalued but it would be understandable considering the lack of confidence that the company gives to their shareholders. But what was appealing is that we are pretty sure that the sale will be processed potentially boosting the SP back up to hopefully $1 after the 25th. We are not so sure if at all or when the company would announce to give a special dividends so hopefully some of us will be able to exit just on the sale of the branch.

If the company was to announce the special dividends, does anyone have a rough idea of how long a company would wait. Would i be done immediately after the sale of the branch or would they wait to receive the money, play around with it a bit and stick some in their own pockets before even considering us, the shareholders sitting the their dark corner eating their scraps :P? Maybe weeks, months or years ???? What do people think?

    Cheers,

    GC
