The AFR were saying that the deal is very likely to proceed. It seems that SIP have been very tolerant with the sale giving Aspen as much time as they need. Hopefully and very likely, a final decision is made tomorrow concerning the process and we can finally start thinking of the future for SIP and how it is going to overcome its obstacles. The cash injection will not only be awesome for shareholders (long term or short term) because of what they have to go through but also to pay off some debt and to provide future security. I think that if they do a once of special dividends of around 20 cents that the share price is going to rocket giving the long term holders that have lost faith and are looking to at least break even an opportunity to do so. There are always going to be short term holders going in and receiving some of the spoils but that is the way of the game for those with the knowledge. They will make a bit of money with the ups and downs but at least we're in it for the long haul where the real money is to be made in companies.....
