Jess, years back I knew the guys at the Kalgoorlie BOM weather radar site. I used to ring them & consult before going out and setting up in places you wouldnt want to be if it rained. Their predictions to me were about 95% correct over years....many times better than forecasts coming from BOM Perth. They can see rain on their radar, but couldnt tell if it was falling or suspended in cloud, for one thing. And the other is that on a lot of occasions when these BOM guys decided to have a BBQ, it would rain......
I dont think we will ever have 100% accurate predictions.
