    You obviously didn't even read what you posted.

    From the OP

    "In the year 2000, the total value of energy, minerals and metals (hard commodity) exports was just under $45 billion, according to BIS Shrapnel figures. By 2012, at the end of the mining boom, the figure had more than quadrupled to $188 billion."

    Howard lost office 3 December 2007.

    So which way were commodity prices going during the Rudd/Gillard/Rudd six years of madness? Up Up Up.

    Check any chart, and you will see coal, then iron ore, prices all started plunging around 2012, which is about correct with the post.

    Now, given that Howard inherited a debt, which was completely paid off, in fact there was money left over;
    and a future fund was set up
    and he handed Rudd a debt-free government with a budget in surplus
    and Rudd / Gillard / Rudd still enjoyed 5 out of 6 years of outstanding commodity prices

    For you and your ilk to come on these forums and try and somehow claim that Howard did a bad job, or that Labor were great at managing money, or that somehow the mining boom was squandered, well I say to you and your ilk that it's amazing to me how you could hold such views.

    I will go even further and suggest that even if Howard didn't return any tax money, but built up an even bigger future fund, Labor would have still blown the lot, and left Abbott with a steaming pile of crap to sort out.

    Labor under Rudd then Gillard then Rudd, was without doubt and without qualification, the Worst, the absolute worst, government that this country has ever suffered under. Wayne Swan is without doubt and without qualification, the Worst, the absolute worst, Treasurer that this country has ever suffered under.

    And still people like you voted for them. Despite all this, you still voted for them. Goodness knows what goes the minds of a Labor voter but it's obvious they don't do a lot of thinking.
