    If I were Ding's consortium (PPP notwithstanding, it's still China government calling the shots), I would invest the billions in an infrastructure solution that is the most optimal in terms of risk, feasibility, cost and time to build (China wants ASAP geopolitically), existing infrastructure (like scalable Kribi already a CHEC project good for future IO and bauxite allowing Nkout to piggyback) as well as political benefit to China and strategic partner (BRI & SND30) and regional integration potential (CEMAC).

    Looking at the map, if Sangha is to go Pointe Noire it probably makes more sense for Mbalam to hitch a ride with Nabeba right next door and a separate transport solution for Nkout.

    Pointe Noire will be built eventually to service the more southerly deposits no doubt.

    The money comes from China. Whatever is good for China, that's what we will find out. LOL
