There's so many mines being re-appropriated in the Region.

Either way, it's interesting that stated costs for the one notable project were:

Key Pre-Feasibility Study results for the Mayoko-Moussondji Iron Project include:
 Annual Production: 2.5 million tonnes (dry) per annum
 Operating Costs (LOM ave cash costs FOB): US$39.93 per tonne
 Total Capital requirement (mine, rail and port): US$181.16 million
 Capital Intensity: US$72.46 per capacity tonne
 Maiden Ore Reserve Estimate: 38.5 million tonnes at 42.0% Fe
 Initial Mine Life (Ore Reserve Estimate Only): 8.5 years
 Average EBITDA steady state: US$89 million per annum
 Product Quality: 64.1% Fe “Mayoko Premium Fines”

That's a lower Operating Cost than the $60/tonne I calculated for my 150MTPA calcs in an earlier post, but that was 2014...underlining that nothing has been done on these potential sites for far too long. So perhaps $60 is the current inflated 2021 price.

Mayoko-Moussondji = Badondo? Not so sure as it's relatively small scale (graphic below). Badondo seems much larger (table below)

Badondo (Equatorial), Mbalam+Nabeba (Sundance) and Avima (Core)
