it's all very well to criticise what people did 200 years ago, but the laws, philosophies and ethics were totally different from today.
they thought that they were entitled to do it and the system of the times allowed them.
I'm sure that in 200 years time, people will look back at us and lampoon and criticise what we are doing now too.
