The video I have seen shows the "hard right punch" you speak of as an open hand defensive action. Unless the kid punches with the palm of his hand with his fingers and thumb facing up.
I expect them to all walk away without charges.
The kid would have been more likely to have been charged if he wasn't assaulted.
I wonder if any lawyers were watching and have offered to pursue civil action on behalf of the kid.
