Look at it like this, there are several negotiating parties, in any deal, time frames are difficult to stick to when you are relying on others, Management was being open in the announcement as I read it, giving you an idea of when they thought it would be finalised, if they are scrutinised on things like that details like that will probably be left out in the future. Now if you're like mostly everyone else you are very sure to go over announcements with a fine tooth comb looking for anything that may give you further insight sort of reading between the lines, so maybe it's better to look at things a little differently and be happy that although it hasn't come through yet they are happy to let you know what they are thinking. I think it's ok not to be too harsh on the timeline of deals and I actually think the share price and holders agree with that idea looking over the chart.
