It is most likely commercially safe and should come with a set of instructions on how to use the ROAM-e and how not to use it. Any product can be unsafe if used inappropriately. You can beat someone up with a selfie stick.
Have a look at the specifications of ROAM-e. It sounds pretty safe to me.
