how can they say that

Just wondering how can they predict that there was going to be 301 to 736 billion cubic feet of natural gas and 30 to 73 million barrels of oil do they just sit around a table and ask each other what number they are thinking of then say that sounds amazing lets predict that there is that much just seems strange how they pull those firgures out, then when they drill the hole and go oh there was actuallly some dirt down there but we were so close though good work fellas we earnt our pay this week. Also some of the people who post on here are amazing they are some of the most positive people i have ever heard. They really should be in japan at the moment putting a positive spin on that.
