AVB will be moving above 1 million tonnes of copper resources in the near future. This most recent announcement is the first where TP has mentioned Open Pit mining.

Any mine plans up to this point would have been premature as they would have been planning an underground mine.

This most recent drillhole makes it possible to start thinking about a large scale open cut mine plan.

Sossego
1.6 km long and thickness of 150 to 200 m in its central section.

Salobo
The Salobo 3A deposit extends over an area represented by a NW trending strike length of 4 km, 100 to 600 metres in width. Mineralisation has been recognised to depths of 750 metres below the surface.

The Olympic Dam discovery hole in 1976 hit 170 metres of mineralisation assaying more than 2% copper.

The delivery of assay results should see the tipping point for Avanco.
