Maybe the market is expecting a correction for gold?
Usually the miners signal this type of action first.
Are they holding it down or up? we won't know until we see the substantial holder ann. Of course the chances are holding it down to buy more before the next leg up is the most likely explanation though I'm sure nothing like that happens in the 100% honest world of trading shares...
