Good question, I suppose it is why they call it the rotary lie detector.
One could also ask why the previous hole had less than anticipated.
If it were as simple as doing siesmic and drilling up resources then any Tom, Dick or John would be doin it. Otherwise they would be called discovers rather than explorers.
