how could the mh370 fly undedected

i am puzzled that a large aircraft could fly for "hours" undetected ??

In other words all our sophisticated equipement is useless.

How much do countries spend on "war" stuff...

If they cant find a passenger plane. they cant see a fighter jet with bombs or missiles...

or do missiles now send signals to other countries telling them they are coming??? lol
