The rest of us can't be held responsible for your parents and your upbringing. There are always exceptions to the rule. Many Boomers started with nothing because their parent had nothing. Growing up without any of life's luxuries created a work ethic and having little created an attitude that was risk adverse. We were taught respect and the main weakness of baby boomers is that we wanted our kids to have what we didn't so generally they were spoilt. This is where the generation of entitlement is. Boomers were never entitled to anything. That wealth that boomers created and earnt gets left as an inheritance yet boomers inherited little financially however we did inherit something far greater.
ration that A strong work ethic and a respect for others. Coupled with an amazing sense of humour and humility, we are by far the superior generation. Millennials can't work it out but they are still growing and learning so they will. Gen X (I think the X means cross) just seem to be angry. Possibly because Boomers live longer now and the inheritance will probably skip to the Millenials.
If you were a decent human being you should call your parents and apologise. When they ask what for, you should tell them that you are sorry you are a disrespectful child but it isn't their fault!
