What wasn't discussed was even though you could buy gold for 170 and sell for the squillions of Marks at the finalsed currency , how much would the same 170 buy if say , a car was purchased? Inflation is not necessarily profitable for gold , just a store of value. In order to test profits, what does the same squillion dollars also buy,and then 'backtest'.
