Here he is encouraging hydrogen fuelled vehicles instead of EV's because he claims they don't use lots of fossil fuel derived energy when in fact they use over 3 times as much energy that will come from the same source as EV's get theirs.
Here are his pearls of wisdom and it pains me to even post them!
“The reality is if you drive an electric car the chances are it’s being fuelled by fossil fuel-generated power; out of sight and perhaps out of mind but it’s not the solution. The ultimate solution surely is something that in the full cycle starts with water and ends with water and that to me is what this vehicle represents today; the next generation of environmentally friendly vehicles,” stated Australian Industry Minister Ian Macfarlane

How can we respect our politicians when they not only look and sound like a comedy act but also have such a low education level and intelligence? I suspect they aren't quite as thick as they appear but they must think we are and that we believe the nonsense they feed us to suit whatever the agenda is that motivates them.
Guessing that EV's threaten coal but HV's don't for some weird reason?
