How did it fail??

I have been thinking about this merger and wanted to get your thoughts on it, cause I have unanswered questions that someone on HC might be able to shed light on??

So.. Nic Greiner is the chair for the company for the possible merger. He would know and therefore so would they weather this was a good deal or not..

Does that mean that somewhere along the line this was a dead cert and then lightspeed came in and threw a spanner in the works?? And if that's the case was the deal going to be very ordinary and lightspeed was the Robin Hood making sure the deal was going to be fair..

And somewhere along the line 3 days before the deal broke down, Bradken hope decides to bail?? Is there something we missed? Was there chatter over the water cooler at the asx we aren't privy to??

Am I just being paranoid??

Any other thoughts about it??
