"to think that life arose on our planet seems impossible."

Just a few hundred years ago our level of technology and knowledge was pretty average. It seems that for eons there was hardly any progress and then gradually it became exponential. We arrive at the present day and we are accelerating at a phenomenal rate. We have advanced so far and so quickly that if you go back just a generation or two they find the new technology almost incomprehensible. Almost indistinguishable from magic ( who said that?)

Gods perform magic and miracles don't they? Well, no. We do. If just a few generations can so impress us, what can happen in millions of generations as each generation ads to the knowledge base and as we approach critical mass the acceleration becomes mind boggling. But only to those who maintain a fixed world view.

    That's evolution in action.
