The irony of that is that you did not vote I don't think that the cost of a postage stamp would be a good enough reason not to have some say in the company you are invested in.
Not meant as a dig @MirCat but more as an observational philosophy. Shareholders votes are important if they want to send a message.
I will own up and say that I have sold my shares when they moved away from being an on-line tech company.
