Its tough - its take time and understanding to pick a winner! It also takes picking many (but not too many hopefully) losers, or not so high performers.

I haven't been in this as early as some - started purchasing on the 9th October, but as with most things it takes , as above - time patience, and a little nous.

At the end of the day no one can really tell you a sure and certain way to back a "winner "- but a strong understanding of the fundamentals and an interest in the broad area the stock covers usually helps.

Small caps are only a small part of my overall portfolio- such is my appetite for risk (and some bad burns over the years), and I wouldn't be putting too much on the line. Currently in the small cap space I am only here and PNV.
